CarvingTurns is an online presence to make information available about my personal software engineering projects and initiatives. Our very first product release is an iPhone app for the USSA ski racing programs across the USA and Canada. I formally worked in the product development group at Oracle on Business Process Management and Process Cloud Service. Prior to that I led teams working on User Productivity Kit and Knowledge Center.
If you haven’t figured out my favorite past time, look at the site name again! It is alpine skiing of course! From the day my daughter was born, I dreamed of getting her on skis (luckily she’s shunned snowboarding). Shortly after getting on skis we registered her for an alpine racing program and its been a wild ride ever since. We say goodbye to our non-skiing friends late fall every year and get down to weekends at the mountains, trips to New England, oh – and ski races. You know you’re committed when you view Monday morning as a day you get to sleep in till 6:30am! Love traveling, hiking, running, astronomy and hanging out with great friends and family.
